What should I wear to my first class?

For your first class, you can wear comfortable workout clothes such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. There is no need to purchase a uniform initially. If you decide to continue training with us, you can order a uniform from our equipment person after a few weeks.

Do I need to sign a contract to join ACME Taekwon-Do?

No, we do not require contracts. We believe in a "come as you are" approach, so you can join our classes without any long-term commitment. Our goal is to make Taekwon-Do accessible and flexible for everyone.

What should I bring to class?

Please bring a notebook for taking notes, all required sparring gear, and a water bottle. If you are just starting, you won’t need sparring gear right away, but as you progress, it will become essential for safety during practice.

How are the classes structured?

Our classes are designed to accommodate students of all skill levels. Each session includes warm-ups, technique drills, forms (poomsae), sparring, and cool-down exercises. We focus on both physical conditioning and mental discipline.

Can I watch a class before joining?

Absolutely! We encourage prospective students to watch a class to see if our teaching style and community are a good fit for you. Feel free to drop by during our scheduled class times and speak with any of our instructors or students.

What ages do you accept for training?

We accept students ages 10 and above. Our classes are suitable for all skill levels, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced martial artist.

Is ACME Taekwon-Do affiliated with any organizations?

Yes, ACME Taekwon-Do is part of the YOMCHI Taekwon-Do association, which is dedicated to promoting traditional Taekwon-Do as taught by General Choi Hong Hi. Our head instructor, Kyle Colby, holds an international instructor certification and is actively involved in the organization as the Colorado State Technical Director.

How do I sign up for classes?

You can sign up by visiting our do-jang during class times or on the website, HERE. Our instructors will be happy to assist you in getting started. There are no contracts or mandatory fees to begin; just come ready to learn!

Do you offer family discounts?

Yes, we offer family discounts to make training more affordable for households with multiple members interested in Taekwon-Do. Please speak with our staff for more details on pricing.
